Question: Does a deep plane facelift include tightening of the neck?
Answer: It may or may not depending upon what your individual plastic surgeon is performing. Sometimes a deep necklift is required when fat deposits are located underneath the platysma muscle in the neck. Study your prospective surgeon’s before-and-after facelift photo Gallery. In our practice, the goal of a lower face and neck lift is to tighten loose facial and neck skin, tighten loose facial and neck muscles lift the jowls, and remove fat deposits located above and below the platysma muscle in the neck.

To obtain the results in the digital image photograph, that’s going to require placement of a small chin implant to augment the recessive chin profile forward. A neck lift procedure involves removal of fat deposits above and below the platysma muscle in the neck, along with a platysma-plasty. No skin removal is required. Both procedures are performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure which takes approximately an hour and a half. Anticipate two weeks of visible bruising and swelling.

Question: Would getting rhinoplasty balance my face?
Answer: Would getting a rhinoplasty and a chin implant balance my face
From the one limited photo, their first been overly projecting nose and an under projecting chin. The under projection of the chin makes your nose look bigger than it really is. Consider rhinoplasty and a chin implant combination for better facial balance and proportions.

Question: Q: Crooked nose after a septorhinoplasty – what are my options for a Revision Rhinoplasty?
Answer: Crooked nose after septoplasty and rhinoplasty
A full set of facial photographs are going to be required to make a determination about how best to proceed, since the nos is a three-dimensional structure. A copy of the operative report would also be helpful to know how much cartilage is left over on the inside of the nose for potential grafting purposes during your revision rhinoplasty. A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish straightening and narrowing your nasal bones, and a spreader graft composed of the patient’s own Cartlilage is going to be required to be placed underneath the concave upper lateral cartilage in the midportion of the nose.

Answer: Tip of my nose hangs down when I smile, how do I fix this?
A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish reduction of the hanging columella, refinement of the bulbous nasal tip, and releasing of the depressor septi ligament which dynamically pulls the tip down when you smile. All the incisions replaced on the inside of the nose.

Question: Is this saddle nose / inverted V deformity and do I need a Revision Rhinoplasty?

A septoplasty and turbinate surgery are performed in the back of the nose, and should not affect the outside portion of your nose. An inverted V deformity only results from a cosmetic rhinoplasty due to very wide nasal bone and collapsed upper lateral cartilages that can only be demonstrated from the frontal view.

Question: I was wondering if I would be able to do rhinoplasty without ‘fixing’ my bridge bump?
Answer: I was wondering if I would be able to do rhinoplasty without fixing my bridge bump?  Unfortunately, you cannot just do only Refinement of the nasal tip in this situation. Removing a small amount o nasal tip cartilage Will only make your hump look bigger and cannot address the hanging columella, the droopy tip and the wide nasal bones in addition to removal of the dorsal hump. It’s very important all the components of the nose are balanced with themselves, and the entire new nose is balanced with your facial features, yet does not look operated upon. Digital computer imaging would be helpful for you in the education process. The thick skin you have in the tip of your nose will prevent refinement in that area, so it’s important have realistic expectations regarding refinement of your nasal tip.

Question: Can radix grafts move and is this an option for fixing my low radix?
Answer: Can Radix grafts move and is this an option for my nose
A full set of facial photographs from all angles are going to be required to make a determination about how best to proceed with a closed rhinoplasty procedure. We rarely ever use radix graphs because they can end up looking rather lumpy in that area of the nose when patients have thin skin in the Radix.

Question: Would I be a good candidate for submental Chin Liposuction or implant?
Answer: Would I be a good candidate for submental Chin liposuction or a chin implant
A full set of unadulterated facial photos from all angles are going to be required in a chin neutral position to make a determination about how best to proceed. When the mandible is underdeveloped, consider placement of a chin implant to augment the chin forward for better structural support for the soft tissues in the neck. From the 2 limited photographs, it appears that you have fat deposits located both above AND below the platysma muscle in the neck. Liposuction can only remove the fat deposits above the platysma muscle, while a deep neck lift is required to remove the fat deposits below the platysma muscle which also includes a platysma-plasty.
